Call for Applications – OBHF Board of Directors
The Ontario Ball Hockey Federation (OBHF) is seeking applications from individuals interested in filling the following OBHF Board positions for 2026-2028:
- VP Financial Secretary
- VP Technical Director

Important Information Regarding VP Technical Director and VP Financial Secretary
As the OBHF prepares for its 2026 AGM, there is currently a Notice of Motion proposing that the VP Technical Director and VP Financial Secretary positions be removed as elected positions and instead become appointed positions selected by the Board.
While the proposal has not yet been approved, we would like to identify individuals who may be interested in serving in these roles should the Notice of Motion pass.
If you are Interested in either the VP Technical Director or VP Financial Secretary position, please indicate your interest and submit a current resume for consideration.
This will allow the board to have a clear understanding of the individuals interested in the positions should they become appointed roles.
The VP Women’s position will remain an elected position for the 2026 AGM, and anyone interested in putting their name forward for this position is encouraged to indicate their interest as well.
Requirements & Expectations
These opportunities are open to Ontario residents over the age of 18 years who are members of the OBHF. Candidates should be self-motivated and professional. Candidates should ideally also have experience in one or more of the following areas: governance; events; marketing/communications; strategic planning; fundraising; human resources management; not-for-profit organization management.
Candidates with previous Board experience are preferred; however, individuals who meet some or all of the previous criteria are encouraged to apply.
Expectations of the successful candidate are:
- Serve the full two-year term.
- A minimum of 12 hours a month in Board duties
- Attend 8 to 10 (approx.) Board conference calls/meetings during the year.
- Oversee at least one OBHF event per year.

- A letter from your League supporting you as a candidate for this OBHF Board position

Please note that, as per the OBHF Constitution, nominations for the OBHF Board positions can also come from the floor by members present during the OBHF AGM taking place on Saturday, November 21st, 2026.
