The OBHF and Virtual Hockey would like to thank all participants in the “OBHF Girls Ball Hockey Virtual Workout”!
Thanks to Provincial funding, the OBHF, Virtual Hockey, and Michael Del Zotto from the Columbus Blue Jackets this event was a huge success! The event on Saturday March 27th brought girls and women together to workout, learn more about the sport of ball hockey, and meet some of the U20 Team Canada Girls.
Here are some words from a few of the participants:
“Thank you so much for organizing this event!” My daughter “had a really great time and enjoyed participating in virtual hockey. It’s nice to see a platform like virtual hockey that helps develop skills”
“My girls are still little and just getting into hockey. Seeing older versions of themselves playing is so critical. This was wonderful.”
“Having a daughter in both ball hockey and ice hockey, I am a big advocate for her and for girls in sport. I’ve seen what it has done for her confidence in so many areas. Thank you for the work you all do. We are so lucky to have people like you championing youth in sport and selfishly, especially for my daughter.”
Here’s to hoping we can all get back out on the ball hockey floor soon and continue to grow this great sport!
